About the Author Tamara Shopsin is a graphic designer and illustrator whose work has been featured in "The New York Times", "Good", "Time", "Wired", and "Newsweek". She has designed book jackets for authors including Jorge Luis Borges, Charles Lindbergh, and Vladimir Nabokov. Two volumes of her drawings have been published under the titles "C est le Pied!" and "C est le Pied II". In her spare time she creates and sells novelties and cracks eggs at her family s restaurant in New York, Shopsin s. She is currently a 2012 fellow with the nonprofit Code for America.

More Than a Collection of Nudes - It's a Sensual Dream By Joaquin del Castello Gilbert Mikhail Paramonov is one of the most exciting photographers of the female nude working today. His previous books have been very successful and helped to imprint his vision upon the world where women are angelic and graceful, youthful and sensual. Romantic Nudes continues that effort. It is more than a collection of his works this time; it is crafted body of work where each subject starts the series dressed in formal attire, such as a wedding dress, and slowly undresses to reveal her warm, glowing, girlish flesh. It may be a simple formula, but it is powerfully erotic. And the open leg shots and closeups stir a deep impulse. Paramonov's models here are young women, and the incongruity between their youth and their overly formal attire, combined with the sexually illicit nature of their poses, makes this more of a collection of dreams than an expose of artistic nudes. This is a daring publication that will not fail to make an impact upon its viewers.

I thought that listening to while driving would solve my problem. Nope. I cannot tolerate this reader. He is monotone and dull. It was not safe for me to be on the road while listening to this book. Eventually I would have been in prison for vehicular manslaughter caused by this book putting me soundly to sleep. I even tried giving it away. No one else could stand it either.

A thriller for sure By Tea4me2 Here again I am captivated by the art of Alger's writings.With an very exciting story line, underlined with good morals and honest, healthy, advice.I loved the way that 'Julius' was introduced and can not wait to read his story.Julius who's guardian is a burglar finds his way to helping Paul prevent a robbery. And slowly but surely Paul Hoffman with the help of Mr Preston makes his way from a street stand to a shop.I did see a few typos and in some spots the story felt a little bit rushed...but I still recommend I would defiantly suggest reading the first two books.I absolutely loved it

Raphael At first, I was a little concerned that I might not like the main character, Alex, who is also the narrator of the story, because he is so down on himself for being a geek, but the mounting suspense in the beginning hooked me pretty quickly. Four friends are hiking in Wales, when news of a zombie outbreak finally reaches them, but they are somewhat in denial until a couple of soldiers from the SAS confirm their worst fears.The author, Shaun Harbinger, gets it. You can't just throw in undead and gore and expect to call it a zombie story. Harbinger includes all the elements of classic horror: suspense, mystery and one horrifying surprise after another. Using this traditional formula, Harbinger provides thrilling terror without the need for graphic violence on every page.The zombies are called the Nasties, and through the characters' dialogue, readers are provided with a basic outline of the viral outbreak. Kudos to the author for including a fabulous original twist on zombies! I LOVED it!I can't wait for the sequel!

It manages to blend full on fantasy in a new, unique way, while also being a substantial read. Not only is there a nuanced interpretation of magic, fictional lands and cities, and heroism, the writing is vivid, imaginative, and gripping. Fans of fantasy, you will fall into these pages and get lost in the world. Fans of solid, substantial, literature, you will find that here as well. It's so hard to find a quality, genre book these days. But if you're on this page, you already have.I've never seen magic like this before. It's as strong and mysterious at ever, but plays by different rules and takes new form. You won't find cliches in The Gantean, not when it comes to magic, and not when it comes to its characters. They are all so complex and multi-dimensional, even the supporting roles that look insignificant at first. Everyone comes to play a major role in this plot, making it an all-around fantasy thriller. As each player has different motives, strengths, and resources, you never know where the plot will turn next.The Gantean is about Leila, an underestimated woman taken away from her native land to a majestic city. Chaos ensues, throwing Leila further from home, forcing her to adapt. Her journey is remarkable and unpredictable, and when I finished the book, I felt torn. Half of me wanted to grab the sequel, and the other half wanted to just sit with this book and reflect. The Gantean will definitely stick with you after reading, and what more could you ask for from a book?

A different perspective on a strong heroine By Amazon Customer In a time of sequels, prequels and reboots on TV and in movies, I want an original story. Something different; something that hasn't been done before. Finally - the beginning of what looks to be a grand fantasy tale is out. There's a beautiful map to orient your mind to the new world you will enter. Words from an original language are sprinkled throughout. Don't worry - there's a glossary. This author has thought of it all. Love is in the details.The hook is the opening line. Immediately, it transports you to another place, another time, and the story unfolds. Settle in as magical elements, a cast of shadows and the beauty of light gather together to show how Leila will survive in a new world. Sometimes you need a heroine to show you a different kind of strong. The clincher is the ending line. What happens next? The second book in this tale can't come out soon enough.

Rice As a first-time author, I thought Joseph "Zombie" Zuko's first book, "The Infected: Jim's First Day" was a fantastic read and kept me enthralled the entire time, as well as the second time I read it. But, as a first-time author, I figured that the author was really lucky and I was really lucky finding this book. I was wrong, fortunately, for those of us that have a taste for zombie blood (or is that backwards?) or at least zombie stories we are fortunate to get a sequel to "Jim's First Day", "Karen's First Day".This new tome picks up where the first book started off, actually a little bit before. Already I was confused and then I realized that this was Jim, the protagonist from the first story, it was his wife's story. So instead of trying to imagine what she had to go through with their kids during a zombie apocalypse, we actually get to hear the story! Super exciting! And it really is! This book might actually be better than the first one! (Sorry Jim)I can't wait to get more people to read this book so that I can have more people to talk about it with. I can almost bet there is going to be a third book, and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

It's like that friend who stops everybody's chit chat with that thing that happened over the weekend. You just listen, disbelieving, while he regales you with this friggin amazing story that is both exciting, intense, and engrossing. Just like his previous book, the story starts off with a bang and doesn't let you stop because that is exactly what the characters are going through. No one has time to take a breather, or think twice about their decisions. It's do what you gotta do, and live. This book introduced a cast of, again, easily to empathize people who are motivated by our everyday feelings and passions put to the test in a real disaster that can't be believed...even by the survivors themselves. I appreciated the attention that is paid to each character having there own little world view and unique quirks without bogging down the action. After it was all said and done, it left me wanting to know what's next, and had me thinking what I'd do in those circumstances. I know I won't look at the inside of Safeway the same again.
