The looseleaf version is handy. However, the REVEL part of the package is poor. You cannot see the quiz questions for the sub-sections or the chapters without having to scroll through window after window. Since there are embedded videos, special images, etc., it takes a while to load some pages. I was very disappointed to discover, the quizzes cannot be edited--you can only delete the questions. This was a significant liability since many of the questions were written as if for Art History majors, not NON-art majors--the intended audience for this book. The "Shared Writing" Assignments cannot be edited in any way either. Finally, the REVEL gradebook is not compatible with Blackboard. You have to either upload the grades via translating them into an Exel sheet first, or manually enter them--a daunting task with 95 students per section. The best thing about this text was the cost--half of what it would normally be. But I see they've raised the price for the loose-leaf version without REVEL to now equal the cost of the bound book. Next semester, I'm considering using the 5th Ed. which they can buy used. Very let-down after all the hoopla about REVEL. Pearson needs to pay more attention to how the instructors can USE their materials.
