History books sometime forget that the bloody and painful history of America begins here in Florida long before Jamestown and Plymouth were even thoughts. Florida is the location of the first American Thanksgiving, that was celebrated in 1564 with the landing of the French Protestant pilgrims as well as the first Christmas observance by Hernando de Soto and his army during their 1539 winter encampment. During this most early time in American history, the explorers were besieged with tropical diseases, poisonous snakes, alligators, pirates, starvation and even cannibalism. It is hard to find a more exciting story than that even in an adventure novel.

Clarifying a Quote By Scottie I am greatly disturbed by the quote in Dr. Fred Ashley White’s book 1539 using my name and a quote in Chapter 4 from a private email note to him that was taken out of context. I work with Dr. Willet Boyer, the discoverer of the mission church at the Richardson site. I in no way meant to imply that the discoveries of burials at the Richardson 8AL100 site were not there and that the email note was “in reference to a misleading report by an archaeologist who claimed he found those at the same site”.The 170 number was calculated based on the sample quantity of burials found, size of the samples, and the size of the church. We also did find many pieces of the early style olive jar pottery at the site.In April 2012 Dr. Fred Ashely White sent me the GPS locations of his Spanish Mission Site and his de Soto site to make a Google Earth Map of for him. He wanted me to visit the site and even metal detect several times, but would never arrange an exact date for us to meet there. I am not a historian on Spanish Missions of the early Native American Indians in Florida, but have dug with Dr. Willet Boyer from February 2009 to present - October 2015. I have taken pictures of most artifacts found, features in units, people at the a site, and plotted many thousands of shovel test holes and Units dug in Google Earth at over 20 sites in or near Marion County. At the Richardson 8AL100 site I did help find and document all Native American Pottery, Projectile Points, chert flakes, and many types of Spanish Pottery, Spanish Beads, and forged nails where the Spanish Mission was found. I was also there when several other Archaeologists visited the site and saw the evidence. I also made a CD with all the information and pictures taken at the 8AL100 site and gave them too many different Archaeologists to review.I do not want to take sides and debate which site is Potano or the Spanish Mission. I have only been involved at Richardson 8AL100 Site. I have only seen artifacts shown at the Appleton Museum that were reportedly found at the White MR03538 Site. It would be nice to have Ashley show me where his artifacts were found at the site. I would like to have my name and quote removed from this book.Robin Corsiglia

Best Historical Book About A Real Life Discovery In Decades By National Archaeology Quarterly Reviews 1539 - Artifacts and Archaeology from Conquistador Hernando De Soto’s Potano Encampment and the Lost Franciscan MissionPublished by Academic Press Journal - Division of UK Scholarly Open AccessVery well researched peer reviewed work. This book details the discovery of the earliest known New World expedition site in the terrestrial United States and the archaeology of a Native Indian village lost from history. This Florida site is considered one of the most important archaeological finds in the early history of the Americas. As of 2015, only two sites in the United States have been documented as definitively associated with De Soto's expedition: the Governor Martin Site at the former Apalachee village of Anhaica, located about a mile east of the present Florida capital in Tallahassee, Florida; and the White Ranch Site in the Potano territory located on the wetlands associated with Orange Lake between the cities of Ocala and Gainesville, Florida. The Governor Martin Site was discovered by the archaeologist B. Calvin Jones in March 1987, and the White Ranch Site was discovered by the archaeologist Dr. F. Ashley White and his excavation team in July 2005.In addition to documenting the evidence of Hernando De Soto’s 1539 conquistador encampment, the archaeological team discovered the lost Native Indian village visited by De Soto. This lost city was the location where the Spanish later built one of the first Franciscan missions among the Potano culture in 1580 and then after it was burned the city was relocated west along the lake shore to the nearby Richardson site. The Archaeology Channel documentary based on the discovery is fascinating, but the documentation and photography of the artifacts and work at the archaeological sites in this book is exhaustive. Best historical book about a real life discovery in decades.National Archaeology Quarterly Vol. 62 3rd Q Ed.“Crossbow points, 7-layered chevrons, mail armor, and Ferdinand and Isabella coins now backed up with XFR testing, this is the definitive De Soto site.” “The discovery and recognition of the White site is a major archaeological and historical event. The on-going investigations and interpretation of the White / De Soto site promise to clarify the Spanish and Indian history of north-central Florida and to add immeasurably to our knowledge of the Hernando De Soto expedition.”---- Dr. Charles M. Hudson, Emeritus Professor of Anthropology and History, University of Georgia. Professor Hudson is considered the world’s top scholar on Hernando De Soto, author of countless research publications and Knights of Spain, Warriors of the Sun."This (the De Soto site) is an extremely important site, historically and archaeologically."---- Dr. Gifford Waters, Collections Manager for Historical Archaeology at the Florida Museum of Natural History and an expert on Spanish missions."I looked at the archaeological evidence. There is absolutely no doubt that is a De Soto contact site.” “The site Ashley White has found seems certainly 100 percent I’d say to be the main Indian town of Potano that De Soto had been at and also the later location of the mission of San Buenaventura de Potano.”---- Dr. Jerald T. Milanich, Curator Emeritus in Archaeology of the Florida Museum of Natural History. Professor Milanich is the leading expert and author of multiple books about the Potano culture and Hernando De Soto’s expedition.

By Archaeologia Internazionale The archaeology team makes an incredible group of discoveries in remote snake and alligator infested swamp and immediately out of the blue other people try to sabotage the find and even go as far as to loot valuable artifacts to use in their own research. One guy with the help of a clique of sycophants from rival colleges went as far as passing off a paper with the same title of the original research report claiming it was a new discovery and actually some folks believed it. Truly an incredible story that sadly shows the absolute lunacy and desperation some folks will go to get their name in the paper. The discovery of the ancient town of Potano is very exciting and probably the most important historical find in the United States. The original village was burned by the Spanish and moved in 1601 to its current location called the Richardson Farm. Academics have excavated there for decades but have never found a single European artifact dating from before the 17th century that would be a clue to the original location visited by Conquistador Hernando de Soto in 1539, thus the ancient village had been completely lost to history. Then finally in 2005 archaeologists located the lost 16th century village on the nearby White Ranch and the excavation unearthed a treasure trove of artifacts from the De Soto expedition.Over the past decade the rare conquistador weapons and Murano glass artifacts have been on exhibition at top museums around the world and have been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people and yet the incredible story continues. In 2014 Spanish olive jars looted from the White Ranch site showed up as fraudulent discoveries at the 17th century farm site again demonstrating that bizarre desperation or need that drives academia – Publish or Die.What a neat adventure and supplement it with a recommendation to watch The Archaeology Channel documentary as it interviews Dr. Jerald T. Milanich, Curator Emeritus in Archaeology of the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida and Dr. Alan Stahl, Curator at Princeton University verifying the De Soto discovery.

I think this one definitely gave me more meat than the first two. I loved that the characters became more complex in this installment. I did think Dusty was a bit whiney at times, but she was a teenage girl going through a lot of crazy stuff; so BJ did a great job getting herself into the space that character would occupy and identifying the struggles she had to deal with. There were a few small twists, but overall, I felt the story had built up to make the ending a bit predictable, but it ended well. This isn't usually my genre so, I'm a bit wishy washy on how I feel about the story itself, but I love love love BJs writing style and I can't wait to read more in the future.

She took us on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The darkness that is threatening Dusty gets worse and worse, extending to her family and friends. With more trouble then she is prepared for and complications at every turn, she has to fight harder then before. It was hard to watch and yet this book was filled with so much hope and second chances it makes you believe it will all work out. With an ending like that you can hardly dwell on all the bad that has happened over the course of this series. It makes your heart happy.

The story is written so well that I easily became engrossed in it and felt like I was part of the story. I really hope she continues writing so I have more great books to read!

Fear Drive My Feet is Peter Ryan’s enduring account of his time patrolling isolated regions of New Guinea during World War II.

Far from his fellow Australians and with Japanese forces closing in around him, the eighteen-year-old Ryan endures the hardships of the jungle, overcoming loneliness, fatigue and fear with quiet courage. He finds beauty in the rugged mountain landscapes of New Guinea, and admires the charm and resourcefulness of its people.

Rarely out of print in the past four decades, Fear Drive My Feet is a classic memoir of the war in the Pacific, a major work of Australian war literature. For the work he describes in this book, Peter Ryan was awarded the Military Medal and mentioned in dispatches.

Peter Ryan has been a newspaper columnist, the director of Melbourne University Press and an officer of the Victorian Supreme Court. He was an intelligence operative behind enemy lines in New Guinea in World War II. He lives in Melbourne.

Szasz Quite simply one of the most exciting reads possible about one man on a large island (Bougainville) and the Japanese Army that gradually hems him in.Plenty of heartstopping moments and many times after putting it down, you ask yourself... "what would I do.....?"Jungle, deep inpenetrable, rough trails which traverse the island over high mountain ranges, waiting for resupply from air at night on a lonely hilltop, knowing that if you die, you die alone --- it is all here.A shame books like this are not written anymore.

A story of one man patrolling in New Guinea in WW2 with natives, trying to obtain as much information as possible about the enemy, while working behind the enemy lines for more than a year. Highly recommended.

By A Customer I was given a very old, battered Trash and Treasure copy of this book, and frankly was not interested in WW2 stories. However, one day I started it and within a page or too my heart was pounding with fear and exertion, mozzies were biting and it was steaming hot, hot, hot. I became the 18 year old (18! Good grief!, a mere baby ,a schoolboy) sent by a ignorant command into largely uncharted , enemy controlled desperatly physically difficult territory, and ALONE! What madness, but thank goodness Peter Ryan survived to tell the tale so brilliantly. and to have a distinguished career in academic publishing. A friend of a friend was able to get my copy autographed for me, quite a thrill.

In presenting this volume, the author is aware that there are several excellent books, dealing with one phase or another of tree life, already before the public. It is believed, however, that there is still need for an all-round book, adapted to the beginner, which gives in a brief and not too technical way the most important facts concerning the identification, structure and uses of our more common trees, and which considers their habits, enemies and care both when growing alone and when growing in groups or forests.

Pictures not illustrations By Leitz If you are looking for a practical guide to identifying the trees found North of Maryland and as far West as the Great Lakes you should add this book to your library. It is a gem. Even if your focus is in other regions Levinsons methods are practical guidance for the amateur. One comment I would make is about the claim to be an illustrated text. The transcribers note that they replaced the original woodcuts with arbitrary photos of trees or parts of trees. Hence a figure titled Pitch Pine Twig is clearly not pitch pine. Notwithstamding this peculiarity I still rate it at 5 for the merits of Levinsons work and the otherwise high quality of the trancription.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. disappointed By Gordon Bell The quality of the printing in this book is terrible. I can barely read it and can not tell anything from the pictures. I am also disappointed because Amazon does not offer the chance to read some of the pages to see what a book has. I want a book about trees that gives details about the trees and their characteristics, so that I can pick the trees for my situation.

The 29th Alabama Infantry Regiment was organized at Pensacola in February, 1862. There is some confusion regarding the origin of the regiment. Some accounts show the 29th was created by the addition of two companies to the Fourth Alabama Battalion - a body of eight companies, which had been organized the autumn before at Montgomery. The 29th remained at Pensacola until it was evacuated, suffering much from diseases that usually afflict raw troops. It then lay between Pollard and Pensacola for over a year, when it was ordered to Mobile. The regiment was there from July 1863 to April 1864, except for a short time that it was at Pollard. The regiment joined the Army of Tennessee at Resaca with over 1,000 men, in time to initiate the Atlanta-Dalton campaign. It was brigaded with the 1st, 17th, and 26th Alabama, and 37th Mississippi regiments, commanded at different intervals by Col. Murphey of Montgomery, General O'Neal of Lauderdale, and General Shelley of Talladega. Companies Of The AL 29th Infantry Regiment The 29th Alabama regiment was recruited from Barbour, Bibb, Blount, Conecuh, Montgomery, Russell, Shelby, and Talladega counties. Company A - Captain Henry B. Turner - Talladega County Company B - Captain Duncan Dew - Blount County Company C-Captain William H. Musgrove-Blount County Company D - Captain Alfred Gardner - Bibb County Company E - Captain Samuel Abernathy - Shelby County Company F - Captain B. F. Sapp - Blount County Company G - Captain John F. Wagnon - Barbour County Company H - Captain Hugh Latham - Bibb County Company I - Captain J. B. Sowell - Conecuh County Company K - Captain John C. McNabb - Barbour County.

Curtis Bertrand, a country boy with a camera, returned home from WWII in the South Pacific with over 600 photos. These never-before-seen pictures from his private stash, along with official battalion journal entries, and near-death experiences add drama, adventure, and expose the reality of war. Readers of Dad's War Photos will follow his photographic "breadcrumb trail" from home to war and back again with the help of 420 photos and 21 maps. Dozens of WWII aircraft with nose art, and photos of South Pacific natives in daily life are included. The book covers many aspects of Curtis's experiences in the war: leaving the farm in Opelousas, Louisiana, going to boot camp, being sent overseas, and eventually coming back home, all through the photos he took and his battalion's military records. Readers of Dad's War Photos will view pictures never seen before. They will feel the excitement and fear of sailing through enemy waters, they will come to know the loving bond of brotherhood and friendship amongst soldiers, and they will encounter the grief and mourning when a buddy dies while on a mission. Through Curtis's eyes and camera lens, readers will be virtual eyewitness to the New Guinea battle campaigns in Dobodura and Saidor; the little-known battle for Biak Island and capture of Mokmer Airdrome; the Philippine Islands campaign, and the Battle of Manila and its reconstruction. Thus far, the World War II photo memories and story of Curtis Bertrand have remained private. Now these pictures, along with official battalion diary entries, are being made available to the public, bringing to life his battalion's camaraderie and their heartbreaking and harrowing experiences. The 863rd Engineer Aviation Battalion was stationed in three Australian cities during the summer of 1943: Sidney, Brisbane, and Townsville. Brisbane became the Pacific headquarters of U.S. General Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Allied Commander, after the Japanese forced him out of the Philippines in December 1941. Each stop was necessary for the complex task of getting the numerous battalions organized, fully equipped, and putting the finishing touches on the engineering and battle planning strategy. After that, it was on to the New Guinea Campaign, including Dobodura and Saidor. New Guinea was key in defeating the Japanese bases as laid down by General MacArthur's strategy called Operation Cartwheel. There are 81 photos depicting men building airstrips, camp life, native scenery, and more. In a chapter on the Battle of Biak, the near death experiences of Curtis and his war buddies as their boat approached the island are graphically displayed. A photo taken of Curtis's good friend Clifford G. Wynne, Jr. is included, just weeks before he died on Biak. Another 60 historical images are contained within this section. Finally, on December 21, 1944, the battalion arrived in the Philippines. 80 photos cover the destruction of the Battle of Manila and its reconstruction. Curtis's medals and souvenirs are depicted, along with the Japanese rifle and bayonet he brought home with him. The homecoming and post war life chapters give an intimate view of what many returning soldiers faced. For Curtis it was getting back to work on the farm, meeting his lovely wife, and trying to put bad memories aside. Two appendices include extensive photo coverage of WWII aircraft nose art and the daily lives of natives in the South Pacific. PRAISE FOR DAD'S WAR PHOTOS I've never seen a book that covers so much of the war in a pictorial form. This book presents a month-by-month account in pictorial form of what it was like to serve in an engineering battalion in support of the fighting troops in the South Pacific. The author has also included official accounts of the activities directly from the battalion history records. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in seeing WWII from a different view. Dad's War Photos: Adventures in the South Pacific (Hardcover), by Neal Bertrand

Review "Dad's War Photos" combines my favorite things: history and photography. Soldiers were building/rebuilding bridges, roads, theaters, and hospitals. The 'Military Record' entries and 'Elsewhere in the War' sections added more to the story. Reading what was recorded, then seeing it confirmed in the pictures made the history buff in me jump for joy. There are surprising pictures such as the coal-burning car. If you like history, planes, or just WWII, don't miss out on this. These pictures are a rare piece of history!Angel Estep, Blogger and WWII History Buff, Rainy Day ReadsAuthor and publisher Neal Bertrand brings the battles and the people to life in his book. He uses official military records and his father's photographs to tell the story of World War II in the South Pacific. Descriptions of the battles and numerous photographs of planes and natives involve the reader in the war. A monthly column titled 'Elsewhere In The War' describes locations of battles throughout the world and gives the reader a chance to experience the immense size, destruction, and loss of life.Connie Gremillion, author and photojournalist[Curtis's son] originally thought [Dad's War Photos] would simply be a picture book . . . As he worked on the project, he said another veteran informed him the battalion had an official diary . . . That diary is now the backbone of the book, richly illustrated with the photos.Daily World

From the Author As a young boy, I often imagined what it was like for my dad to be in the South Pacific during World War II. I had so many questions. What did he do? Where did he go? What was it like being away from home for so long?I grew up looking at his war pictures - there were hundreds of them. Some of them were shocking to me since I was so young. But whenever I asked my dad if I could look at his war pictures he willingly walked to the cedar chest in the hallway of our home and grabbed his three large photo albums. And as a devoted father, he always answered every question I had about them.I loved my dad and we had great times together. But I also have some regrets in regards to the book I would eventually write, like not videotaping his war stories or removing those photos from the album pages they were attached to and reading the captions on the back. Ultimately, those helped me a great deal in producing this title. I appreciate your reading my story, and I encourage you to buy this book for yourself and for your loved ones whose ancestors were in the war. I trust that it will further inform you about this fascinating piece of history.Neal Bertrand, author and publisherCypress Cove PublishingLafayette, Louisiana, USA

From the Back Cover Curtis Bertrand was just a country boy with a camera when he entered the U.S. Army in World War II. This is a wonderful tribute of a son for his father, but more than that it is a fitting recognition of the heroes of the greatest generation. This book combines personal photos and stories of Charles Bertrand with the official military record of his unit the 863rd Engineer Aviation Battalion in the Pacific theater. It is well researched and documented, a treasure for any military history buff. What is different about this particular book is that it is not about any specific action against the enemy or singular heroic feats. It follows this unit as it supports the war effort. It shows the aggregate heroic spirit in the actions of all those who served proudly and honorably. Those who are students of the military art will appreciate the contribution made by this man and his unit in bringing about the victory our nation earned in the Pacific. His son has done him proud. Thank you Neal Bertrand for sharing these priceless photographs and this story with us. .

Stiles I am so glad that Neal Bertrand took his father's pictures and journals and put together this book. This is a fabulous primary source. As a teacher I am please to have it as a resource, although I am sure I will be accosted by upper grade teachers who teach history for my copy. I believe in sharing. I loved not only the pictures which gave you a first hand look at what was taking place in the Pacific, but also the military journal entries. This gave you a first hand look at what else was going on with him and the other's in his battalion during the month. Another added bonus was the section titled "Elsewhere in the War". This section allowed me to see not only what was happening where he was but also in Japan, Germany and other important places. Every book I've ever read similar to this deals only with what was going on in that particular area. This book give the reader a wider picture of the war. I find this beneficial for students who may use this as one of their primary sources when researching. I would however caution if you are using this as a resource for middle school. Not all middle schoolers are mature enough for some of the pictures. Yes I know that shocks you. There is a picture I found hilarious of a group of men on an outside latrine, naked butts to the camera. Then there are the pics of the half naked women on the planes, or the Philippine women who are naked from the waste up. This is life, but not all middle schoolers are mature enough. I must also caution that some of the pictures are quite graphic of corpses. All in all this is a book that is not just a photo journal, but a wealth of written information as well. I am so happy I had the honor of reading and reviewing this book.

It's a tribute for a father by a son who painstakingly collected the many pictures his father took during his time in the army. The pictures really help the reader to understand life as it was during wartime and includes photos of soldiers at work and play, natives of the islands where they traveled, equipment, wildlife (including a boa constrictor who made himself at home in their camp one day and a pet Wallaby) and variety of things that comprised the day to day life of one soldier. It includes pictures of his father's return home and the life he made with the author's mother after the war until his death in the year 2000.Bertrand also gives updates on what is happening elsewhere in the war to help give the reader an idea of how things were progressing in Europe and hits the high lights of every major event that happened during the war. It's a thoughtful, well laid out representation of war from one man's perspective and it made for interesting reading and could serve as a great source for anyone researching WWII in the South Pacific. I have no reservations in recommending this book to anyone interested in the subject matter.* Well done Mr. Bertrand.*I was given this book to read and review in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion which I have given. I do not know this author and no other form of compensation has taken place.

The book includes some hints at Van Gogh and uses an interesting vehicle to transform the protagonist. A quick read with interesting reflections on the meaning and importance of creating art.

How does the former Director of the nation's greatest collection of portraits celebrate his 80th birthday? The distinguished photographer John Swannell and Roy Strong have devised a series of thirty portraits that transport Roy through time, inventing and reinventing him as an array of historical characters. With a sharp eye for period style and dress, and flashes of a tongue-in-cheek wit, Roy and John spent five years on a project in which he takes on the characters of Henry VIII, Toulouse Lautrec, Rasputin, President Lincoln and many more. The results, together with Roy's diary relating the stories behind the sittings, make a remarkable photographic essay of a man rightly dubbed 'Sir Portrait'. Sir Portrait is an enchanting book, a work of playful connoisseurship, and a celebration of a life in portraits.

Review 'This magnificently potty book takes us through 30 version of Roy done after celebrated portraits, or in the manner of various schools. The book is a tease. As with everything Sir Roy does, there is more than meets the mirthful eye. Look at and read this book. You'll have a camp old time of it, but you'll learn more than you thought you might.' -- Christopher Fletcher Spectator

Utterly Comforting Book for the Weary and Wounded Christian By budge This book along with his THE EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, are THE most important books on spirituality I have ever read on the Christian walk, and believe me I've read tons of them. But none of them have penetrated to the human psyche as Bonar does with these books. He tears down all the fronts of pharisaism and legalism that believers are apt to exhibit and exalts the Savior Jesus Christ, in Whom alone the believing sinner has any kind of hope in this life. I never cease to be astounded how on almost every page Bonar seems to peer into my soul and answers all the anxieties and fears I have (but shouldn't), in the Christian walk. If you're weary and heavy laden at your sinfulness and vileness, and see no way out, then look no further than this sublime book of heavenly comfort. You will not read a more comforting and Christ-exalting book ever, trust me!!! I wish I could have given it a million stars.

From Dragons, Dark Fae, Light Fae and even a Druid, Soul Scorched is a magical story from beginning to end.We meet many different characters in this first installment but I found that a few really stuck out above the rest. War is a Dragon King and perfectly steamy. He is pretty much attracted to Darcy from the moment he lays eyes on her. But there is a lot of trouble brewing and War is sent to protect Darcy. Will he be successful? There are a lot of characters to get to know, so I am happy to say that I am looking forward to reading the next installment of this e-serial. After all what is not to love about Dragon Kings. : )ARC received via NG in exchange for an honest review.

Diaspora Judians suffered onerous religious persecution within Spain's Iberian Peninsula then under the rule of Visagoths prior to its invasion and conquest in 711 CE by the Muslim Moors. That changed soon after their new Al-Andulas Muslim rulers, who chose to rule from Cordoba, encouraged their non-Muslim Judian and Christian inhabitants to join with Muslims as dhimmis or "People of the Book" who were to be protected under Islamic law. While Judean dhimmis were taxed they along with Christian dhimmis cohorts began to prosper upon being able to freely use their trade skills, religious practices, and professions jointly with those of Muslim inhabitants within a proactive cultural atmosphere under which significant artistic achievements also evolved for an additional 355 years until 1066 CE, when extreme Muslim rulers replaced the Al-Andulas Moor rulers, thereby bring an end to the period cited by scholars as the " Golden Age of Jewry" and which was first witnessed by visiting Italian Jesuits known to have traveled to Al-Andulas Spain in the 9th century. While the majority of its Italian populous still remained subject to MIddle Age cultural and religious practices, it is believed that the visiting Jesuits in reporting their remarkable findings to colleagues and others, including a small, elite group of wealthy Italian merchants and nobles who began served as patrons of local artists, thereby initiating an interest in collectiing which ultimately grew into the early Renaissance period which began to flourish in 14th century Italy among upper class elites. Beginning with the massacre of Judians in 1066 CE, religious persecution of Judians continue unabated under strict Muslim rule and followed thereafter under Spanish "Reconquista" monarchs King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, following the defeat of all Muslim rulers, all Hudians and Muslims were required in 1492 CE to either convert to Christanity, to be expelled or killed. Readers will also learn that so-called popular myths surrounding the role undertaken by Christopher Colombus who ventured abroad to establish a yet undiscovered route to India for the benefit above cited Spanish Monarchs also in 1492 CE are now believed to be false following extensive research by numerous, well known Spanish and other cited historical scholars which will no doubt be of great interest to our readers.

A Golden Age 711 - 1066 CE by Mel Meckler By beverlyhollander Diaspora Jews Thrive After Moor Conquest of Southern Spain by Mel Meckler, is a detailed, historic report of Spain's Golden Age. The expansion of art and science spread through Spain and Italy. Meckler gives insight into the historic leaders, religious persecutors and diaspora of Judeans in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Yemen and other regions of Europe and Asia. The Spanish Inquisition and its leaders piqued my personal curiosity, since my spouse's ancestors fled Spain then. Little known facts such as the origin of Maranos and Christopher Columbus' genealogy were fascinating.Mel Meckler gives an in depth report from 711 - 1066 and beyond. He supports his statements and time tables with respected historians including Simon Wiesenthal. I recommend A Golden Age to anyone interested in gaining knowledge of this topic and its global, historic significance.

In this continuing saga, the seven brothers in arms who have retired to their little slice of heaven finds themselves embroiled with some kind of mastermind criminal ring. With suspicions rising about the death of their old friend the commander, Logan has his hands full with his new lady love. A little firebrand who doesn't fear the SEAL not even a little bit and is set on giving him fits at every turn. I took a moment lying on top of her, pulling her body in close, before dropping to the side and pulling her over on top of me. My girl likes to cuddle after sex so I have to give her what she wants, even though I’m already running late and it’s her fault for teasing the shit out of me. " "At twenty-five she’s seven years younger than me. Some thought maybe too young and innocent to deal with a man like me, who led the life I did. I really didn’t give a f**k what some thought; she was mine." "With Gabriella it was like being side swiped with a semi truck. There was no real warning, just wham, out of nowhere and I was blindsided. It happened so easily and without much fanfare, that I didn’t even know what the f**k had hit me. I think I was thinking the way I always did; I’d hit it and be done in a couple weeks more or less, but one look, one taste and here we are. I knew from f**k one that I was in trouble." I felt like a f**king ogre and she’s the one who f**ked up. Looking down at her, one thought ran through my mind. “We’re not having any f**king daughters.” That brought her up short. “What?” Like I’m telling her sh*t. That look had just shown me what a little girl made from her and me would do to me, f**k no.
