About the Author Captain Sam D. Servadio, a Herkimer, New York native, served with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police for 29 years. Prior to that he served in the United States Navy and traveled the world for 5 years. Shortly after graduating from college. Sam worked in rural Central New York as a patrol officer for many years, and solved many interesting cases, including the arrest of a notorious exotic animal trader, and the undercover pursuit and prosecution of a ring of deer jackers. Sam has retired to the Adirondacks to live in the cabin he has built with his wife Barb during the winter, and will continue on as Captain (100 Ton USCG Master) of his own ship, a Lancer 36, sailing the sea in the summer. Can't wait to read the next one By JPE This book is not only gracefully educational, but also terrifically funny. This is my first book from the author, and I am looking forward to reading his other pieces. Bravo!

Not to mention the "fun times" helmsmen have while standing bridge watch. I can tell by the narration the the author has first hand knowledge of the goings on onboard ship. This is a good read for anyone. If you're having some trouble with the USN terminology, snuggle up to a sailor, he/she will translate!!
