About the Author Leanore Ickstadt, born and educated in the United States, traveled to Germany on a Fulbright Fellowship in 1961 to study Modern Dance. After her marriage in Berlin she continued working as a choreographer, dancer, and teacher until 2003. Her first book Dancing Heads – a Hand- and Footbook for Teachers* was published in 2007. Dancing, Out of Germany* a memoir / history of dancers who left Germany for the United States in the Thirties appeared in 2010. Passage Confirmed is her first work of fiction. With her husband, Heinz Ickstadt, she divides her time between Berlin, New York and London.
