About the Author Long before she wrote The Butterfly That Returned, Serene Martin was an Assistant Superintendent at a maximum-security prison and a college teacher. In her life experiences, she saw the stifling consequences of social conditioning and external pressure on individuals. She became increasingly drawn instead towards the often underestimated power of intuition. In a world of ceaseless distractions, her writing visits an authentic place of conscious knowing within the reach of everyone who has the courage to follow the call of their heart.When she's not writing, you can find Serene travelling, doing yoga, finishing a bar of chocolate and hunting for easier ways to transition to a vegan diet. Meditations for the modern world By Salman Jaffer Wisened beyond her years, Serene Martin clearly captures the moments in all our lives with memories that are common to us all. A modern day Marcus Aurelius. Reminds us of the magic that surrounds us with a taste of her words like fine art she captures both depth and clarity with the gravity of her words. Most times, it feels like watching a painting or re-living the moments from the day we were born.

By Kay The Silent Compass is a beautiful collection of poems which touches our hearts and our souls. It is written with grace and a deep understanding of our true nature and what life is all about. Much wisdom is contained in all these magical words. A true reminder of who we are, a spirit of love in a physical body walking a spiritual path. Beautiful and heartfelt, I highly recommended this reading.
