0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A must have Children's book. By DOC CAHILL A must have for military families, especially families with a loved one with PTSD. I found this children's book very enlightening when I read it to my grand children, it prompted many questions from them about war, veterans and PTSD. It helped me to explain why I behave "differently" at times. We now know the Veteran is not the only victim of PTSD, it also will affect their loved ones, especially the children I believe this well written book can begin the healing process for families affected by PTSD. It will let kids know it is not their fault. I highly recommend this book. I also have high praise for the author and the illustrator for this much needed book. The coloring books are wonderful for the kids to be more involved in the reading and to bring out the feelings kids have while coloring. I was invited to color with them; awesome!

The illustrations are fun for kids and adults but the explanation of 'what is a hero' and 'who is a hero' is such a great way to explain to youngsters about our veterans.
