2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. average dumas By mojo This was average by author dumas standards. He is known to have an assistant write in some of his novels. It seems to be apparent to me whenever there is a deviation into the historical context of the story, which is necessary but is written in a completely different boring matter of fact style. Still a great story as wtih all his novels. Probably four stars when compared to other novels but I hold dumas to higher standards because he is the best storyteller of all time.
