It is jam- packed with great tips and beautiful demo photos from outstanding artists...in most every medium. Take a look at that gorgeous cover!!! You will find this book very useful and an enjoyment to page through. It is full of lessons and inspiration to get you back on the right track if you fall off that track. There is something in it for every artist, from beginner to experienced and professional. There is Still Life, Plein air and Studio Landscapes.Wildlife, Portraits and Figures...etc...You can go to the next level with this book,..learn how to paint a convincing landscape, and read how wildlife artists help to inspire the conservation of nature and how they work, and you need not be afraid to try portrait and figure work with the tips in this book.You'll learn what the right materials and tools are best in order to do your best work.The best materials really do make a difference!!The best supports/paper/board, varnishing an oil painting, glass, brushes, pastels, colors, underpainting, grounds to use,,,,etc..etc....it just goes on and on.There are also Art Business Tips included in the book. By Heather The books in my art instruction library tend to be enjoyed upon arrival, and then collect dust but this book will be picked up again and again! Lori's tips, and easy to follow writing style paired with excellent information has made this an indispensable must have for any artist wanting to better their art or enjoy other artists' approaches. There are so many "gold nuggets" in this thoroughly planned book! And it covers a wide range of both genres and mediums used from pastels to oils! The included artwork is inspirational! A wonderful resource full of research and information! Congratulations, Lori!
